About Rhonda B

As a trauma and anxiety survivor, Rhonda has always been drawn to the sacredness of healing.
This pursuit began in early 2000's by exploring alternatives with an open heart and mind. Upon discovering brief experiences of peace and calm with yoga she took a 200hr certification program to gain a deeper understanding of grief and trauma, with no intention to teach.

In 2013 she underwent surgery for severe endometriosis as a life long sufferer. A few weeks later, she was involved in a motor vehicle accident, no longer able to work or practice yoga due to the injuries. That is when a deeper depression started to steep within.

The pain and medications were stifling. Doctors prepared her for this new way of living. She refused to accept the prognosis because it was in drastic contrast to her being. A deeper pursuit for alternatives started an incredible exploration of profound experiences.

Referred to a Pain Clinic recognized for achieving the highest standards in safety and clinical care, implementing evidence-based pain and function recovery by applying the best science, knowledge and technology from Medicine, Nutrition, Brain health and Movement, she was introduced to Yoga Therapy. Unlike mainstream yoga where you're assumed to have a relatively healthy agile body, Yoga Therapy assumes you have restrictions and caters to that idea.

Yoga Therapy definitions found online:

“Yoga therapy is that facet of the ancient science of Yoga that focuses on health and wellness at all levels of the person: physical, psychological, and spiritual. Yoga therapy focuses on the path of Yoga as a healing journey that brings balance to the body and mind through an experiential understanding of the primary intention of Yoga: awakening of Spirit, our essential nature. Joseph LePage, M.A., Integrative Yoga Therapy (U.S.A.)”

“Yoga therapy adapts the practice of Yoga to the needs of people with specific or persistent health problems not usually addressed in a group class.
Larry Payne, Ph.D. Samata Yoga Center (U.S.A.)”

During the same time, Rhonda attended an Energy (Pranic) Healing clinic that is a highly advanced method of energy healing. The persistent headache caused from whiplash was healed within one session.
For comparison, if Reiki were a GP doctor, Pranic Healing would be a Specialist.
It has also been explained as acupuncture without the needles.

So, with a strong appreciation and gratitude for her healers, she spent years pursuing
Healing Certifications, a Yoga Therapy Diploma plus other Modalities to help others on their wellness path.

Sitting in ceremony, connecting with her Native Culture,
she was gifted the name "Thunderbird Woman".
This was an honor that has rooted her into a much more grounded understanding to life.
